Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new DOA estimation algorithm which achieves better resolution than the MUSIC algorithm and does not require estimation of the number of sources. Snapshots and steering vector used in the new algorithm are proposed to be constructed in the form of a second-order Volterra filter. To avoid estimation of the number of sources, we introduce a new optimization problem to realize DOA estimation in the framework of beamforming. Computer simulations are conducted to demonstrate validity and superiority of the proposed algorithm.
