  • Abstract
    The VM (Virtual Machine) incremental image is not fit for saving virtual computing environment because it may cause crazy disk space increase of virtual machines. This paper analyzes the process of constructing user-specific virtual computing environment on IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) platform, and proposes a novel method based on application virtualization to save and reuse user-specific virtual computing environment in Windows. In this method, the user data is separated from VM OS (Operating System) image and it is very easy to extract user virtual computing environment data as well as user personal data and save it to network storage. These data can then be recovered and reused conveniently and quickly when the user-specific virtual computing environment is reconstructed.
