Title :
On a simplified distributed control of an open water channel

Abstract :
A simplified distributed control of an irrigation channel is explored based on frequency analysis. Each local portion of the distributed controller consists of two parts - a PID feedback controller and a constant feedforward compensator. Guidelines are given out on how to tune the distributed controller based on practical close-loop behavior of system.
