Abstract
We firstly present the design and the wideband characteristics of the proposed CP-EMCP element, which indeed is an improvement of Type-E element at X-band. Secondly, we investigate the mutual coupling performance of the proposed elements in a two-element array in two orthogonal planes The calculated mutual coupling of the two-element arrays arc compared with the measured and calculated results front the literature for a number of similar and dissimilar structures. Finally. the calculated radiation characteristics of a subarray consisting of offset and rotated elements are presented.
