Abstract :
The author presents programmable interconnect, a bridge between simulation and prototyping. Programmable interconnect simplifies computer design using an integrated system of field programmable interconnect components, field programmable circuit boards, support hardware, and software tools. This methodology is completely synergistic with and just as flexible as simulation, yet it is just as tangible as and with the full form and function of a conventional prototype.<>
