Abstract
Prediction of oscillator phase noise is highly desirable in order to optimize oscillator signals for accurate timing and for other measuring purposes. This paper introduces a Galerkin-method for prediction. It may deliver more accurate results as compared to Leeson´s semi-empirical method, and it is easier to apply as compared to Kärtner´s or Demir´s method.
