  • Abstract
    In this paper a class of adaptive controller for a large class of nonlinear systems has been proposed in presence of uncertainties, input nonlinearities and unknown time-delay. Based on the combination of the sliding mode control (SMC) with fuzzy control, this paper presents a design algorithm to synthesize a robust fuzzy sliding mode controller. The unknown nonlinear functions have been approximated with fuzzy logic systems. Stability and robustness of this controller are analyzed in Lyapunov sense. Lyapunov-Krasovskii approach is employed to show that the corresponding closed-loop system is asymptotically stable. Finally, numerical example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed technique.
