Abstract :
This paper presents a w-shaped antenna for ultra wide band application. UWB Antenna is designed to satisfy two licensed UWB frequency bands (2.81 to 4.96 GHz), (6.10 to 10.6 GHz) for return loss lower than -10 dB having a frequency notched Band ranging from 4.96 to 6.10GHz to avoid the interference with WLAN.The effects of shape, length, size, and location of feeding point, substrate and their thickness have been evaluated. We designed the antenna with a compact aperture area of 14.5 X 23 mm2. And obtained 2d radiation patterns with elevation and azimuthal, VSWR, Return loss .The simulation results of W-Shaped antenna are analyzed by using Method of Moment (MoM) from IE3D software.
