Abstract
This paper presents an inverter topology based on series-voltage-action (SVA) used to generate additional levels. This inverter will be called as SVA Inverter. The SVA Inverter presents some advantages over the traditional inverters, such as output voltage higher than the dc-link voltage and lower distortion in output voltage. The complete analysis presented in this paper includes the inverter model and its operation and PWM strategy. A general comparison with conventional inverter is also presented. Simulated and experimental results corroborate the theoretical study.
