Abstract
This paper presents an adaptive one increased-order deadbeat control algorithm for the ABR traffic congestion control in ATM networks. We consider a control-based mathematical model and apply the one increased-order deadbeat and adaptive control design to the congestion control problem. The practical problems of unknown time-varying delays, buffer saturation, initial conditions and uncontrollable traffic are considered in the control scheme. Simulation is implemented to verify the proposed control design. It is shown that the control algorithm satisfies the control requirements of fairness to users, network efficiency, global queue convergence under the practical problems
