Abstract :
This paper assumes the relationship between shared vision between parents and the control of the host parents to IJVs in host country and test them against data gathered by means of a questionnaire survey in 96 manufacturing and service IJVs in South China. The results indicates that: 1) For the entire sample, the shared vision between the partners has a positive impact on the formal and informal control of the Chinese parents to the IJVs in China; 2) for the sub-sample, the results are not paralleled because of the different foreign parents of IJVs.
