Being rich in various resources, especially in human resources, the western China is suitable for labor intensive industries. Based on the practical situation, four patterns of developing labor intensive industries in the western China are introduced and discussed. They are patterns of town cluster which utilizes the urbanization, of industry transfer which takes advantage of the upgrade of the eastern industries, of sparkling which is based on the original backbone enterprises and of resource consolidation which fully uses the western natural and cultural resources. The thesis discusses measures to speed up labor intensive industries in western China from the points of development thinking, mode selection and policy support.
