A Research on Topic Discussion and Key User Identification in Microblog

With the rapid development of microblog, it has changed the way that people communicate and share information with their friends. This paper focuses on the discussion of user interaction and key user identification in two given topics over a period of time. By using the API of Sina weibo, the data crawling of two topics information have been done, as well as the social relationship of the topic participants. Based on the dataset obtained, data simulation and analysis have been performed, to explore the key users that discuss the most and in which situation the uses are more involved in the topic discussion. A lot of information can be analyzed and obtained from the data, for instance, to predict a box office, identify key users, and detect unexpected accidents and etc.
