  • Abstract
The further development of ultra-wideband (UWB) sensing will largely be affected by the disposability of integrated sensor electronics. In particular, this is important for MIMO-systems since they are dealing with large numbers of measurement channels. Monolithic device integration requires new system conceptions respecting the specific conditions of semi-conductor technology. Nowadays, high quality data capturing means the sensor performance must be challenged against network analyzers. Sensor cores applying the M-sequence principle comply with these requirements. But usual peripheral components such as directional couplers or reference lines revoke integration. This article presents two integration friendly solutions of peripheral components and it shows the steps toward fully integrated UWB-sensors.
