Abstract :
According to its role in residents´ daily life, consumption expenditure can be classified into basic living security consumption and developmental consumption. Based on the ARIMA model, this paper probed into the developmental consumption expenditure of rural residents in Hebei Province and made forecasts. ARIMA(2, 2, 3) model can be used to describe and forecast the development process of per capita developmental consumption expenditure of rural residents in Hebei Province. Per capita developmental consumption expenditure of rural residents in Hebei Province may increase sharply in the next several years, which means that spiritual and cultural living standards of rural residents in Hebei Province are significantly increasing. The government should take countermeasures to raise the developmental consumption level of residents, to enrich their spiritual and cultural life, and to improve their quality of life.
