  • Abstract
The optimization of accumulation system monitoring requires the modelling and simulation of the system´s transient behavior. Existing simulators are not accurate enough and are slow. The simulation model presented models the physical system very easily, without making rough estimates, by means of basis parameters (types and features of the batches and conveyors). It calculates the states of the system only when the system undergoes discontinuity (incoming and outgoing batches, shift in speed or behavior of a conveyor, etc.). This formalization is integrated in a model based on batch Petri nets
