Abstract :
We are reporting a short-range inductive data link for biomedical implants in the MICS band (402-405MHz). This system consists of a coil and a matching network that also sets the resonant frequency. An approach for accounting for small additional inductances in the matching network is laid out and calculated using various simulation software and these simulations are confirmed with measurements. Good agreement is obtained between simulations and measurements of return loss and transmitted power.
