Abstract :
Several electronic assistive devices for blind employees in a variety of job situations are described. These include a simple blood pressure gauge with audio-braille output, an electronic stud finder, a general purpose microprocessor-based talking job instrumentation system, and a generic speech module for adaptation of many different standard instruments so that they can be used by a blind operator. They are offered as examples of how vocational instruments and tools designed for sighted use can be made available to blind employees
