Abstract :
Hybrid fiber-coax CATV-networks could be excellent candidates to fulfill the growing demand towards interactive multi-media services. However, due to their tree and branch structure they are very prone to noise funneling. We present measurement and characterization for both ingress and impulse noise that is independent of the modulation and access technique used.
