Abstract :
But Peter said, “I have no Silver and gold but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” (Acts 3:6) [1]. It has been taken simply that the poor people cannot afford partnership with the government, government institutions or well established private companies in urban housing projects development. This is because it is believed that they are unable to raise finances for these investments bearing in mind that mortgage funds are available on conditions they cannot afford. This paper highlights the available non-silver and non-gold resources in the hands of the poor that other prospective partners in urban housing projects development can find useful and helpful toward increasing formal housing supply in the city of Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania.
