Abstract
A means of specifying industrial information which is used in a model of an information system for manufacturing enterprises called OLYMPIOS is presented. This specification is based on abstract data types and algebras, and simplifies the industrial information by separating it into three terms: data, time, and organization. Such an algebraic specification is used to design a representation of the information system of manufacturing enterprises. It is included in computer aided software engineering (CASE) tools for computer-aided consulting
