Abstract
The emergence of global manufacturing has increased the complexity of order processing, manufacturing, and product delivery as different components of a product are produced in different parts of the world. Effective coordination of activities within the complex and enormous global supply chain is inevitable for manufacturing excellence. To address this need, the core requirement for activity coordination is identified. A framework is constructed based on the requirement to enable dynamic interoperation of units within a supply chain for successful global manufacturing.
