Abstract :
The Geostationary Interferometric Microwave Sounder (GIMS) is a new concept of atmosphere microwave sounder for China future geostationary earth orbit (GEO) meteorological satellite (FY-4). A GIMS proof-of-concept demonstrator operating at the temperature sounding bands of 50~56GHz is successfully developed. Some theoretical analysis and experimental results about the GIMS demonstrator imaging performance are briefly discussed. Some early test results are also present.
