Abstract :
We have developed a compensation method for contamination in Tl-201 data due to lead X-ray in simultaneous Tl-201 SPECT and Tc-99m TCT using a flood source. The evaluation of the proposed method was performed with a chest phantom and a normal volunteer. The significant underestimation in Tl-201 SPECT data due to the lead X-ray could be improved with the proposed method. The simultaneous Tl-201 SPECT images compensated using the proposed method were almost the same as the Tl-201 alone images. As a result, the feasibility of the proposed method was demonstrated
