Abstract
In this paper, the effect of the frequency selective surface radomes on microwave antennas has been analyzed by using the modified plane wave spectrum approach. The new approach employs both the aperture electric and magnetic fields for generating the spectrum. The effect of the radome truncation is accounted for in the analysis by using the windowing technique. The numerical accuracy of the technique is demonstrated by simulating several test cases and comparing the results with the available experimental data.
