Abstract :
This paper analyzes the down-link channel estimation and tracking of the OM-DS-CDMA systems. The analysis is based on measured channel power delay profiles, in an indoor environment. The channel sounding technique and the equalization strategy are considered. A sounding technique, based on the periodic broadcasting of blocks of trains of pulses, is proposed. At the receiver side, in order to reduce the estimation errors the estimated channel response is linearly interpolated between successive sounding blocks. Finally, an equalization technique, based on the channel inversion, combined with carrier interleaving and adaptive suppression of noisy carriers, is proposed
