Abstract
A new technique to design ultra-thin planar inverted-F antennas is introduced using which the heights of (planar inverted-F antennas) PIFAs can be reduced by more than 50%. An antenna design example for 900 MHz cellular phones is presented. Experimental data on bandwidth, possible multi-band operation, and other PCB aspects are presented.
