Abstract
The author´s experiences in developing biomedical engineering textbooks are presented. The origin of the ideas, the development of manuscripts, and the interaction with publishers are detailed. The results of a survey of use of biomedical engineering books which suggest the areas of greatest sales are given. A listing of needed books is also given
