Abstract :
A new visualization tool `NEVIS (Neuro-Visualization) is presented for intraneural artificial stimulation. The tool allows flexible calculation and five-window synchronous presentation of recruitment of force with increasing current. Nerve fibers and electrodes can be positioned anywhere in a nerve fascicle, node spacings can be varied, as well as tissue conductivities. NEVIS presents 3-D exploded view, 2-D top view, fiber diameter histogram, distance histogram and force recruitment curve, all building up synchronously upon stepwise increasing simulation current
