Abstract :
The gyro case rotation monitor technique is to increase the system accuracy and to decrease the gyro drift in inertial navigation system. This paper analyzes the expressions of gyro drift dispersion in three frequently occurring cases of the correlation functions of disturbing torque, deeply discusses the ratios of coefficients when the gyro case rotating to the same coefficients when the gyro case not rotating. The result shows that some angular velocity of gyro case rotation can give a bad result. So the random drift characteristics of the gyro have to be known to achieve the maximum effectiveness of the method.
