Research about the Model of Quality-Oriented Education and Ability Cultivation to College Students

To cultivate the innovative and multiplex people full of computer skills, this paper proposes a new cultivation model, which gives priority to curriculum competition and takes the application and development of database as assistant measures. This new model is called four curricula and two competitions. English and mathematics analyse are two basic curricula. Programming language is the course of programme tool and data structure and arithmetic analyse is the core curriculum. All the above courses support ACM (Association for Computer Machinery) International Collegiate Programming Contest and mathematics modeling competition. The new cultivation model would develop and improve the quality-oriented education of college students.
