Abstract :
Microstrip reflectarrays transform an incident spherical wave into a reflection wave with a desired wavefront by adjusting the reflection phase so that most of them have a main beam of which a direction depends on directivity of specularly reflected field. To develop multi-beam reflectarrays with further high performance, this paper proposes a microstrip reflectarray which can control the beam direction in addition to the wavefront of the reflection wave by varying the length of printed dipoles. The design method is based on the method of moments for infinite/finite arrays. The effectiveness of our design method is verified by comparing between the measured and calculated results.
