Abstract
We improve several earlier results on the boundary stabilization of the wave equation in a bounded domain. First we weaken the usual geometrical conditions. Second, we improve the estimate of the decay rate in the case of polygonal domains. Then we show how to modify this method to study Maxwell´s equations. The proofs are based on the construction of new multipliers, better adapted to the domain
