Abstract
Nowadays, at the age of information explosion, in a fast-paced economical society, restaurants have become the main kitchen of people. However, in most enterprises of catering industry, the concept of information system management still stays at the state of “keeping accounts with the financial software, and printing bills out”. How to enhance the service level in the catering industry with information-based technology is the problem of many proprietors who are concerned about. This article starts with the problems Chinese catering industry are confronted with through market analysis, then the author designs and develops the handy terminal dishes-ordering system, then through the application of the study results, it will achieve a real convenience for people and stores in a win-win catering mode.
