Abstract

Cloud computing, which has become very popular in recent years, can be categorized as SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), or IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service). PaaS provides a platform similar to a software development environment over a network. On most PaaS systems, applications that are developed on a server, are executed on the same server. As such, portability of these applications is not considered. This paper proposes a Server-side Development and Client-side Execution (SDCE) Environment for developing GUI applications. The SDCE provides a Web-based software development environment for GUI applications that can be executed on a local machine.
