Abstract :
In the IEEE 802.11 wireless local area network (WLAN), when the number of node increases, the collision corresponding will increase, the channel utilization rate decline, the total throughput falls, which leads to system performance decline. In this paper, through in-depth analysis of the root cause of the problem, it designs a simple and effective solution - based on the number of nodes in the time slot algorithm (STBNN). Using NS2 simulation software, various scenes were repeated simulation experiments, the experimental results verify that the proposed algorithm is simple, having small changes to the IEEE 802.11, suitable for use in a wireless network. It can improve system throughput, and significantly improve network performance.
