  • Abstract
    A new on-line insulation diagnostic method, Synthetic Relative Measuring Method is presented in this paper. It is mainly aimed at the problems existing in on-line monitoring of the dissipation factor (dielectric loss tangent, tan δ) of capacitive-type apparatus. The basic principle of this new method is put forward. Moreover; its application to on-line monitoring of the dissipation factor of capacitive-type apparatus is discussed. The measuring results in laboratory and on-site proved that by using this method, many influences can be eliminated effectively, and the measuring accuracy can be increased greatly
