Abstract :
Proposes several geometric optimization algorithms which extend some developments on geometric optimization techniques. Unlike those developed in the pioneer work of Smith (1993), the new schemes are not conceptual but implementable in practice in the sense that the global minimization in one dimensional search is not required to be achievable. Convergence properties are established, convergence rates are obtained, and applications are briefly mentioned
