Abstract :
Code division multiple access (CDMA) is a promising system for wireless communication. CDMA provides several different features to improve the system capacity problem which the analog system is facing now. In this paper, the capacity is calculated through simulation using two different mobile distributions- linear distribution and uniform distribution. The theoretical analysis based on these two distributions is also given. The result shows that different distributions of mobiles leads to different system capacities. In our analysis the capacity of the linear distribution, which is a close approximation to mobiles on the highway, is better than that of the concentric uniform distribution
