Abstract
This article has been prepared on the basis of Resolution 41 on eHealth by WTDC 02, and taking into account some relevant contributions received by the ITU-D Study Group 2, Question 14-1/2 from Member states and the ITU-D Sector members including the World Health Organization. It is believed that this document will assist the telecommunication authorities from developing countries to establish the mutual beneficial cooperation with health care authorities in their respected countries and offer to them the full potential of modern information and communication technologies (ICT) to improve access to and even quality of health care. It is also hope that the document will be considered as the contribution from the ITU-D Study Group 2 to the World Health Organization (WHO) in the development of its strategies to guide the international utilization of ICT in the global health care environment for the benefit of all.
