Abstract :
The quasi-square-wave switching technique is extended to develop the Nth ( N⩾2) order quasi-square-wave converters (QSWCs). The existing QSWCs are unified as the special case of N being 2 in a set of the Nth QSWCs. It is determined that the odd-order QSWCs (i.e. N=3, 5, 7. . .etc.) are not in the set. As an example, a 4th buck ZVS-QSWC is analyzed and breadboarded
