Abstract :
Circular polarized microstrip antenna with chiral metamaterial polarizer is proposed. Circular polarized patch antenna with fine axial ratio is first designed. Chiral metamaterials are then used as a polarizer in order to filter out an undesired radiating wave in front of the circular polarized patch antenna. It has been proved that the axial ratio, transmitted bandwidth and the return loss of a metapolarized antenna are enhanced compared to previous designs.
