Abstract :
Since the individual travel mode choice behavior of urban residents has a direct influence on traffic structure, the research on it can provide the scientific basis for the urban planning and the transportation policy making. Considering the close relation between the traveler´s characteristics and the travel mode choices, this paper deals specially with this issue based on Naive Bayesian Method. Besides, by taking the resident trip survey in Jiangmen for example and discretizing the journey characteristic variables, constructs a model to choose resident model, which has great impact on travel mode choice and provides guidance for the traffic demand forecast and the management.
