Abstract :
In this article, carriage design of a new type of piezoelectric linear motor driven by bimorph actuator is investigated. Traveling wave is created by stator, which is constructed by a series of bimorph actuators laid in line and connected by connectors to form a meander-line structure. Based on the stator design addressed in another research article, the structure and modeling as well as performance analysis of the carriage is focused in this study. Simulation by ANSYS is presented verifying the design function.
