Abstract
A node self-localization algorithm based on Chaos-PSO is proposed for higher precision. It improves PSO algorithm, and introduces chaos theory characterized by its randomness and ergodicity to keep the output value out of the local extreme interval. The result of simulation shows that the performance of the new algorithm is better than PSO algorithm. Compared with least squares method which is widely used in the field of node self-localization, the new algorithm has better robustness. The precision of localization is greatly advanced and less anchor nodes are needed. It can reduce the cost of system effectively and can be applicable in wireless sensor network.
