Abstract :
A linear dipole array mounted on a finite solid conducting cylinder has widely application in mobile communications. In this paper, the radiation pattern of cylindrical dipole arrays for base stations is accurately computed by using the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. It will help for the accurate analysis and design of a base station antenna.
