Abstract
The article describes a high voltage supply for a photomultiplier, where a piezo transformer takes the place of the conventional magnetic transformer. The piezo transformer is made of ceramics and does not include any magnetic material. So the transformer is free of leakage of magnetic flux and can be operated under strong magnetic field. The transformer is driven with little loss of power and provides high conversion efficiency. The high voltage supply is designed so as to be operated under a strong magnetic field, featuring merits of the piezo transformer
