2.3 GHz antenna with both LHCP and LP for SDARS

Abstract :
Antennas with capabilities of linear and circular polarization for SDARS (satellite digital audio radio service) are developed. The measured results of these antennas have a wide angular 3 dB beamwidth coverage; 170 degrees for LHCP (left hand circular polarization) and a 3 dB beamwidth coverage from horizontal up to 60 degrees, for the vertical LP (linear polarization) antenna. Test results agree with those of simulation.
