Abstract :
Reports the results of an experimental investigation of the EHD pump with a three-wire electrode system. The dependencies of head-flow rate characteristic on the potential difference applied to the electrodes, interelectrode gap distance, channel width in the interelectrode gap, the distance between collectors, and conductivity of working liquid are presented. It is found that the width of channel in the interelectrode gap (δ) and the gap between collectors (s) affect significantly the EHD pump characteristics. The maximum static head of 5160 Pa is obtained at δ = 2 mm, s = 1 mm, and it does not depend on electrode length
