Abstract :
In this paper a sampled-data method for the spectral analysis of DC-DC and DC-AC switching converters (SCs) is presented. It is specifically oriented to the detection of the incoming switching and modulation harmonics connected to the different types of operation of DC-DC and DC-AC SCs. The method is not based on the small-signal assumption and the computation of the spectral components of any waveform with arbitrary accuracy is carried out using a generalized transfer function, describing the spectral properties of the converters modelled as time-varying discrete-time systems. Some examples of application are presented concerning DC-DC and DC-AC converters
